Members of the VFW Post 5917 joined with members of the American Legion Post 1288 to honor our service men and women who did not return from their war assignments.  We participated with the Village officials at the ceremonies at both Boardman and Hillcrest Cemeteries. We all then moved on to participate in the most solemn service at the War Memorial.  

 American Legion Commander Larry Shaver and I had an opportunity to express our gratitude to the families of our fallen brothers and sisters, for they have suffered a great loss as these families are know as "GOLD STAR FAMILIES".  We pledged our support to those families for whatever they need from us.
